The hot melt glue gun filter is mainly used to filter impurities during the use of the glue gun, reduce the damage of impurities to the hot melt glue gun, and extend the service life of the glue gun.

When the filter assembly is blocked or damaged by foreign matter or there are carbides formed by hot melt glue in the insulation tube and the pneumatic needle valve assembly gun body, the glue gun nozzle will be blocked. The formation of carbides is mainly because the hot melt glue is heated to a temperature exceeding the specified temperature or the hot melt glue is repeatedly heated and not cleaned in time. In this case, it is sometimes necessary to replace and clean the insulation tube or the gun body nozzle.

So, how to clean a hot melt glue gun?

1. Heat the hot melt glue gun to the specified operating temperature.

2. Adjust the air pressure value of the hot melt glue gun to zero, and start the nozzle assembly to release the internal residual pressure and glue.

3. Remove the hot melt glue gun from the insulation pipe, separate the hot melt glue gun into the heating part and the glue spraying part, take out the filter device, check whether the filter is damaged, and replace it if necessary. If it is just blocked by some foreign matter, soak it in a cleaning solvent and clean it with a soft brush, and then wipe it clean with a cleaning cloth.

4. Remove the nut of the glue spraying part of the needle valve assembly with an adjustable wrench. Remove the nozzle from the nut. Use a thin needle to penetrate the fine hole on the nozzle where the hot melt glue flows out in the opposite direction to remove blocked foreign matter or carbide, etc.

5. Note: Do not use a sharp drill to clean the hole of the nozzle to avoid damaging the nozzle and causing uneven amount of hot melt glue sprayed from the nozzle.

6. Reassemble the nozzle and the nozzle, and reassemble the heating and glue spraying parts together. The filter device must be installed before reassembly.
